Came for happy hour this week to Kabuki again. My best friend wanted to try it again. It’s budget friendly. We ordered a lot of stuff at happy hour. Why not? It’s happy hour it’s so I can take advantage of the affordable prices.
This week tried tempura that everyone was ordering. It’s so good. It’s an assorted tempura. It was fantastic.
My friend and I ordered one of every fish, or every sushi to give it a try. I didn’t order sushi last time, but ordered rolls. The sushi hit the spot. It’s big fresh cuts of fish for the price which I love. I love getting a big piece of fish and dunking in the wasabi and soy sauce. The wasabi isn’t that hot, so you can put an ample amount on the sushi.
Had a wonderful time at happy hour, got really full, and the bill came out at great price. I actually felt happy at happy hour. Left with a smile.
When you see The Great Golden Arches you know you’re in for something good and delicious.
McDonald’s has always been close to my heart. I want something that taste good with convenience, I come here. When I see a McDonald’s, I’m like “yes!”. It’s a great place to rest, rejuvenate, and grab an all time classic cheeseburgers, or a Big Mac.
When I’m really hungry I’ll get a #1 Big Mac and it does the trick in solving my hunger. When I’m a little less hungry, I get the 2 cheeseburgers combo. My favorite thing about the cheeseburgers is the pickle. When you get a bite with the pickle, you can’t help to say, “yum”. The golden crispy fries when it’s hot is so tasty.
The thing I love the most about McDonald’s is their delicious and warm breakfast menu. I love their egg McMuffin sandwiches. It’s so simple, but so good. I love how well the hash browns pairs with the egg McMuffin.
This is not your ordinary pho spot. They offer and serve wagyu beef in their pho.
The soup is very clean and glistens with juices from the meat and broth. It comes to your table ready to eat. I love getting a bowl of pho with my friends when I want a quick meal. Some people put hot sauce, black sauce, cilantro, bean sprouts, squeeze some lime, and mix it all together which is fantastic. Some people prefer it with nothing in it and keep it simple and enjoy the broth for itself which is just as delicious. It’s all personal preference.
The egg rolls are so good. I put the egg rolls in the piece of cabbage and dip in the sauce. The cabbage adds an additional fresh crunch to the already crispy egg rolls. I love getting the egg rolls because it’s the perfect appetizer while waiting for the pho.
The aroma and taste of pho is an immediate huge stress reliever; That’s my main reason I love pho so much.
My trip to Santa Barbara was a fun one because I got to go to Moby Dick which is a seafood restaurant and is located right next to beach. It has a beautiful view of the ocean. Santa Barbara is beautiful and clean and nice beach. I love this place.

I like to have a full course meal, so I got an appetizer before the main course.

It tasted amazing. I love the bowl it comes in. It’s a perfect portion size before eating the main course. Doesn’t get me too full and leaves some room, so I can enjoy and finish the main course.
This was the main course: lobster tail and rice and vegetables and butter dip.
Wow! This lobster tail is big and the price is good. I wasn’t expecting a lobster tail with this much meat. I like how it’s not little meat with a lot of shell. The lobster is amazing. I cut into pieces with knife and fork and dip in butter. A delicious bite is what I get every time.
This was an unforgettable time because when I was visiting Santa Barbara I didn’t think I would stumble on to this restaurant. The luck was incredible finding ocean view restaurant. I love the beach, so you can only imagine what a joy it was. With an ocean view and eating fine tasting lobster, my day is complete.
Yummy! Kabuki! My favorite specialty roll spot since my college years. This place never disappoints. These are the best rolls you can find at an affordable price. The rolls are all made carefully by chefs. They have a great happy hour menu throughout the week. They sing happy birthday to you in exciting fashion. They really make you feel like it’s your birthday. This is a great restaurant for quality sushi and rolls and other delicious dishes.

It’s an assortment of different types of fish perfect for sharing if you don’t want to share one type of sushi or rolls. The salmon piece is my favorite because it’s so luscious. My friend and I really enjoyed this plate.
Lava roll and Lotus on fire roll:
The Lava roll has a lot of stuff making up the roll. The cream cheese and spicy mayo is so delicious when you try it, and to have it in a roll is wonderful.
The Lotus on fire roll is fresh because of the fish and the jalapeños add a light kick. You actually dip each piece on the sauce right next to it on side of it, then, dip in the crunchy part making it a complete to take a bite. It’s delicious and lovely.
Coming back again in near future to try their tempura. Everybody was ordering. I saw so many servers take tempura to the tables.
This is a filet mignon burrito at Mercado. It’s the the perfect burrito because it uses all top peak ingredients. Everything is budget friendly meal if you come at happy hour and order off the happy hour menu. It’s a great price for the real quality burrito. It’s a high end Mexican restaurant. I love how friendly their servers are. They are quick and refill your beverage within few seconds before you know it’s already filled up. The burrito comes with the traditional jalapeños and carrot. Don’t forget to actually eat together with each bite of the burrito because it’s a mouthful of spices and meat and rice and beans and other goods.
My friend birthday last time. It was funny because he thought we were going to eat a regular meal for his birthday, but we surprised him with a steak dinner at The Bourbon Steak. It’s delicious. They serve a great steak. Juicy and tender and mouth watery goodness.
This is the Caesar salad. It taste good. It’s one of my favorites.

I love Bourbon Steak. One of the best restaurants in Glendale. Love trying new steak this is the place to go. My friends birthday was a success. He left so happy out of the restaurant and thanked me for showing him such a wonderful time.
This was last time I visited Mount Shasta. It was a long drive from LA to Mount Shasta, but I got to view and discover the entire California going there and coming back down. This trip was relaxing and soothing and scenic. I was surprised by the remoteness from the city. It’s a completely different vibe. It’s amazing.
This is the first meal I had at Mount Shasta: Spaghetti and sliced sausage.

This is the cabin my friend and I stayed at. It’s a very cozy cabin. The best part about being remote from the city is when you sleep at night you don’t hear a pin drop of noise and it’s silent. You can’t hear cars or any type of noise from the city. I got the best sleep in years. Felt so refreshed and well rested.
This is the patio in the back and yes I saw a deer and had my phone on me. Lucky to have capture it. I was laughing and in shock I got to see a deer in the patio. The timing was too good. Living in the city, I never see that. The deer looks so gentle and didn’t make me afraid when it was near. It really felt like I was in nature.
I started exploring the other areas at Mount Shasta and these are some of the cool things I saw:
I saw a waterfall for first time. Wow! The air near the waterfall was crispy and cool and the waterfall noise is so loud and soothing that my thoughts become serene.
This was the boat ride to get across to Lake Shasta Caverns. The boat ride was so beautiful. The lake is very tranquil. Love being in nature.
These are the formations of the rocks on the mountain. Thought it was fascinating that even arrangements of rocks can occur naturally and look this amazing.
This is inside of the cavern. It’s very big and there’s all sorts of cool formations in the cave that was created over million years.
Mount Shasta is a beautiful intimate resort to visit and it’s a great for someone who lives in California wants to travel, but have a staycation. I love going here and my close friend said she had one of the best times here. This is a great place to visit for anyone who lives out of the country too. My friend lives out of the country and traveled many places, but said this was one of her favorite trips.
IHOP has been my favorite since I first heard about it. When I first went as a teenager, my friends and wanted to get an omelette because that was what everyone was raving about.
As I got older in my college years, my best friend and I used to come here at late night hours. It’s a really cozy restaurant and get unlimited coffee and talk about life until we’re hungry. If I don’t come with my best friend, I used to come with my brother.
We love coming here in the morning because it’s a splendid breakfast. I order and get the Breakfast Sampler. It includes eggs. I get my eggs cooked: over medium, and break the egg on top of the hash brown. Then, get the yolk, and mix it with the hash browns, and eat it together. I love their hickory smoked bacon. Their ham is nice big cuts. The sausage is great. The breakfast is so yummy and filling, but on top of that is some chocolate chip pancakes. Perfect dessert to balance out the salty and scrumptious Breakfast sampler with pleasant pancakes.
That’s what I call a good morning! Can’t go wrong with a little bacon and eggs in the morning. It leaves you full and satisfied and ready to tackle the day ahead.
This has been my go to spot for years and the novelty never wore off. It’s a classic.
Nick’s serves a variety of many delicious American dishes. The restaurant is beautiful and they have a second floor seating where in the past I even watched the Super Bowl here. From the second floor looking downs at the TV. It’s so comfortable. The servers are quick to help you out. It’s a perfect spot.
I really love this place because it’s accommodating to children too. I came here with my best friend’s son and while we were waiting for the food, the server brought an Etch A Sketch toy for my friends son to play with. The kid was having a blast. Thought this was very cool and children friendly of the restaurant to provide this extra service. An Etch A Sketch is a red toy that is square and you can draw pictures on it, and shake it up to clear the picture. Its next to the pizza.
The food is very delicious. I tried many items here, but one I have to mention most is the, “Picante” which is a traditional pizza with marinara and mozzarella and delicious slight crisp spicy pepperonis and soppresatta, succulent Italian sausages. Kind of like a meat lovers pizza to be more simple. It’s delicious. Its fluffy. It’s hot. I absolutely love their pizza.
I use to love the place so much I would see the servers and they would say, “Welcome back” with a smile.
